1. We start by removing the existing surface down to the required depth. This will range from 6 1/2 inches to 12 1/2 inches in depth.

2. We then install 3-9 inches of crushed aggregate base to create a solid foundation.

3. Next we place a 1 inch layer of fine bedding sand to ensure a perfect fit.

4. The individual stones are then placed in a selected pattern. A Vibratory Plate Compactor is then passed over the top of the stones, locking them in place.

5. To complete the interlocking process, we sweep a layer of sand over the top of the stones and pass the Vibratory Plate a second time. This forces the sand into the joints.
